About the Event
Including circles for the young adult, their parents, and family, this weekend rite of passage celebrates and commemorates their passage in a coming of age ceremony that honors all participants. With nature and art-based activities that foster self-esteem, self-reliance, and self-awareness, this is a weekend designed to reimagine relationships and envision the future. Activities include mask making, cutting and retying of a ritual chord, and a family claiming ceremony. This is a time to reimagine and strengthen connections while, remembering that you are a part of each other as you move apart.
The weekend retreat begins with an introductory circle on Friday from 7-8:30, followed by Saturday circles for youth and their family, including time in nature and the creation of a craft and ritual from 10-5:00 (with a sack lunch option), concluding Sunday 1-8:00 (with a boxed dinner option and honoring ceremony).
Sliding Scale: $195 covers basic costs, $325 sustains the offering, and $450 helps others
